From a clean clipper to a dense master
At 0, a clean clipper and nothing else. Turned up, a steady second harmonic settles across the whole mix, the quiet details come up and the low end gets a gentle push: the sound of a coloured master chain, in one knob. Past the middle, everything hits the clip harder.
SHAPE
Parabolic knee, soft to hard
The knee starts up to 12 dB under the threshold and lands exactly on it, with no break in the slope. Soft rounds the peaks and warms them, hard keeps them sharp and clean. The curve is drawn on the panel as you move it.
LOUPE
See what the clip takes
The waveform scrolls in ice blue and what the clip shaves off lights up in red, with a marker over every clipped hit. LAST CLIP freezes and magnifies the latest one: before, after, how far over, how long ago.
CEILING
Never past -0.1 dBTP
The clip sits at -0.3 dBFS and a look-ahead true-peak safety catches what the oversampling filters overshoot. OUTPUT only turns down, so the ceiling holds whatever you do.
LOW END
Mono where it matters
The clip is half linked, half mid/side: an 808 clipped hard stays in the middle, wide elements keep their space above 150 Hz, and the low end never comes out wider than it went in.
ENGINE
8x linear phase, for everyone
Every nonlinear stage runs at 8x with linear-phase filters, so the clip does not fold back into the audible band. AIR opens the top above 8 kHz after the clip, and bypass is aligned on the latency for an honest comparison.

Five controls and nothing to decode. INPUT sets how hard the mix hits the clip. SHAPE goes from soft, rounder peaks to hard, sharper ones. COLOR takes it from a clean clipper to a dense, coloured master: a steady second harmonic across the whole mix and a lift under the kick, then a harder push. OUTPUT only turns down. AIR opens the top above 8 kHz, after the clip.

The screen shows what the clip shaves off, live, and freezes the last clipped hit so you can see exactly how far over it went.
